Big Nik’s Journey From Vlog Squad to Christian Rapper
Social media is a wonderful thing. You can start on one platform, expand to another, and as you continue to grow, so does the content that you produce.
Recently, we caught up with social media star, Big Nik, to talk about his journey through different platforms.
Big Nik started posting on social media when he was around 14 years old. He posted a six-second clip on Vine, of him turning curse words into a song when his parents weren’t home. The video quickly blew up, and for a while, Vine became Nik’s main posting platform.
After pursuing various projects throughout the years, Big Nik eventually decided that he wanted to start over. He wanted to be recognized as his own person. So, he shifted his platform towards music.
Big Nik has released a total of over twenty songs, since 2017 — with his most recent release being “Hope”.
After a few years of being in the music industry, Big Nik had an epiphany: he wanted to be a positive influencer and uplift his followers. He felt as though society was disconnected, and his mission was to steer the conversation of life back on the right track.
So, rather than changing bits and pieces of his content, Big Nik decided to start from scratch. Before the pandemic started, Nik was an atheist. He didn’t believe in God, and he didn’t realize the value of believing in him yet.
However, one day, he had a wake-up call. Big Nik started to find the answers that he needed in life, and that’s when he realized that God really does exist. The proof was in the pudding, and he finally found it.
So, Big Nik revamped his content entirely. Instead of rapping about women, expensive items, and living a lavish lifestyle, he began to rap about the experiences that he’s faced in life, and how believing in God has helped him find hope.
Aside from “Hope”, Big Nik has several projects in the works — one of which is an upcoming Christian album that he’ll be releasing. Although an official date has yet to be announced, Big Nik did reveal that he’s currently working with a major Christian rap artist.
As for content, he promises his fans that a huge part of his platform will still revolve around comedic skits.

Lastly, Big Nik has some advice for his followers:
1. If you’re searching for God, don’t do it because you feel pressured to. Make sure you’re searching for God on your own terms.
He wants a genuine relationship with you — not a forced one.
2. In order to attain a healthy mindset, allow yourself to get into a steady routine — whether it’s going to the gym every day, meal prepping, etc.
